Why counts don't compare directly
A confirmation on a fast chain represents less elapsed time and less accumulated work than one on a slow chain. That's why it's more useful to ask "how long until I'm safe?" than "how many blocks?". Kaspa's advantage is that blocks arrive so often that confirmations build up continuously rather than in ten-minute jumps.
Once DAGKnight is live, Kaspa's confirmation times are expected to adapt to real network conditions instead of a fixed worst-case assumption.
Frequently asked questions
What is a confirmation?
Each block added on top of the block containing your transaction is one more confirmation. More confirmations make it harder for anyone to reverse the transaction.
How many confirmations does Kaspa need?
There's no single number. Each exchange or merchant sets its own requirement based on the amount and its risk tolerance. Check the deposit page of the service you're using.
Is one Kaspa confirmation equal to one Bitcoin confirmation?
No. Kaspa blocks come 6,000 times as often, so each one represents far less work and time. Compare by time and security, not raw counts: a Kaspa transaction with hundreds of confirmations may still be only seconds old.
